Linux Symposium discounts available

The Linux Symposium would like to offer special deals members of
Linuxchix and UbuntuWomen, particularly because many female attendees
have lost funding in recent years.

If you're interested in attending but cost has been a factor, please
contact before registering to get the discount.

The Linux Symposium (formerly the Ottawa Linux Symposium, but being held
in Montreal this year) is a conference that I often find interesting and
useful in surprising ways. For me, the real benefit has been in meeting Call for Papers is now open!

Members of LinuxChix are invited to submit to LCA2010, to be held in
Wellington New Zealand in January 2010. Several LinuxChix have spoken in
previous years and a one-day LinuxChix miniconf has been held at the
conference since 2007.

It is possible to apply for assistance with flights to New Zealand
(although assistance is limited).
