Debian-NYC workshops for new contributors
Hello!
Debian-NYC is beginning a series of Debian Workshops, designed to
introduce new contributors to the free software community. These
workshops are designed for people with a good technical background,
but aren't yet well connected in the Free Software community. As
such, we thought it would be good to advertise this event to this
list. Please forward this announcement (and site below) to NYC-area
women who would be interested.
Our first workshop will be on October 15th. It will be on the basics
of dealing with Debian packages: getting source, bugfixing/locally
DC LinuxChix outing this Saturday
DC LinuxChix will be gathering this Saturday, 3 October 2009 at 10:00
a.m. to tour the National Cryptologic Museum in Fort Meade, MD
