[techtalk] connection refused ..

Hi all,
  I'm out of town. Now when I try to telnet to my machine ,
it says " connection refused.. server not accepting any connections "
Ftp, e-mail also gives me the same error. No one logged in while
i was gone.  When taken for a reboot it works fine. Could this
be a hacker attack ? I'm running Slackware .
